Medical Scheduler
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Scheduler to join our team and ensure our patients receive top-notch service and care.
We are looking for a highly organized, empathetic, and detail-oriented Medical Scheduler to join our team. The Medical Scheduler will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, communicating with healthcare providers and Personal Injury law firms, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient information.
The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, strong emotional intelligence, and the ability to multitask effectively while providing compassionate and professional support to patients.
Responsibilities
Appointment Management
Contact patients and healthcare providers to coordinate and schedule medical appointments.
Confirm appointment details, including date, time, location, and provider information.
Send appointment reminders to patients with all relevant appointment details.
Follow up with patients and providers regarding scheduling changes, cancellations, or rescheduling needs.
Ensure appointments are properly documented and updated in the appropriate systems.
Attorney Liaison
Maintain daily communication with Personal Injury law firms regarding patient status and appointment updates.
Provide attorneys with timely updates regarding scheduled appointments, cancellations, and changes.
Coordinate with law firms and medical providers to ensure accurate and timely communication regarding patient care.
Profile & Database Management
Maintain accurate and complete patient information in databases and internal systems.
Update patient profiles with appointment details, status changes, and relevant communications.
Ensure all necessary information is properly documented in emails, databases, and patient profiles.
Review information for accuracy and completeness to prevent scheduling or communication errors.
Customer & Patient Support
Communicate with patients in a professional, respectful, and empathetic manner.
Handle interactions with stressed, injured, or concerned patients with high emotional intelligence.
Address patient questions and concerns while maintaining professionalism and patience.
Balance individual responsibilities with teamwork and department priorities.
Qualifications
English proficiency at a C2 level.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
High emotional intelligence and the ability to communicate empathetically with stressed or injured patients.
High School Diploma required.
Additional academic qualifications are highly considered a plus.
Previous experience in a Medical Scheduler or Scheduler position is preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
