Operations & Compliance Assistant
You will play a key role in maintaining office operations, supporting leadership, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Operations & Compliance Assistant to support our daily operations and ensure compliance across key business processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, can work independently, and has a strong administrative and compliance background.
Responsibilities
• Handle incoming calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate team members
• Perform general administrative and clerical duties to support daily operations
• Maintain a professional and organized office environment, including vendor coordination
• Welcome and assist Houston office personnel when needed
• Coordinate company events and internal activities
• Support CEO and HR with timekeeping and attendance tracking
• Assist in implementing and maintaining company policies and procedures
• Manage office supplies and coordinate equipment maintenance
• Support client onboarding and maintain ongoing client communication
• Monitor payroll and labor compliance under DBRA regulations
• Prepare, track, and maintain compliance documentation and reports
• Identify and escalate compliance issues promptly
• Assist in weekly, monthly, and quarterly compliance reporting
• Maintain and update DBRA project overview and billing database
Qualifications
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal bilingual communication skills (English & Spanish)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field
• Previous experience in administrative, operations, or compliance roles is required
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
