Collections Specialist
In this vital position, you will play a key role in maintaining our company’s strong financial foundation through the effective recovery of outstanding accounts and ensuring prompt payments
We are searching for a proactive, detail-oriented, and customer-centric professional to join our team as a Collection Specialist.
Your strong communication skills, analytical mindset, and professionalism will drive success for both our internal financial operations and the valued clients we serve.
Responsibilities
- Initiate and manage contacts with customers regarding overdue invoices or accounts using phone, email, and written communication in a courteous and ethical manner.
- Negotiate payment arrangements or settlements in line with organizational guidelines ensuring positive customer experiences.
- Accurately record collection activities, communications, and agreements in our accounts receivable and CRM systems.
- Monitor account aging, identify accounts requiring further action, and escalate unresolved balances to management or external agencies if necessary.
- Promote a positive and inclusive team environment with a commitment to integrity, respect, and service.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or college degree required; coursework or degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, or financial customer service highly valued.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with diverse clients and teams.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Keen analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including conflict resolution and negotiation.
- Professional, persistent, and empathetic demeanor in all customer communications.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative, results-oriented team.
