Bookkeeper & Customer Service Agent
We are seeking a proactive and dependable Bookkeeper & Bilingual Customer Service Agent to support our U.S.‑based employee benefits (insurance) business.
This free lance role combines bookkeeping and financial tasks with bilingual (English/Spanish) customer support, ensuring accurate financial records and outstanding service for enrolled employees and clients.
Responsibilities
Manage bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online across three separate but related entities.
Handle accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Monitor and support cash flow management and prepare relevant financial reports.
Support ad hoc finance and accounting projects as needed.
Provide phone, email, and chat support in both English and Spanish to enrolled employees and clients regarding benefits programs.
Answer questions and assist with benefit‑related inquiries with a warm and friendly demeanor.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth issue resolution and high client satisfaction.
Accurately document interactions and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.
Requirements
Proven bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Online.
Strong knowledge of cash flow management and basic financial processes.
Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Availability for consistent overlap with U.S. Pacific Standard Time (PST) business hours.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Public Accounting (or related).
