We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Lien Negotiator who is eager to grow and make a meaningful impact. This role is essential to both the client experience and the overall success of the firm, making it ideal for someone confident in their communication and negotiation skills.

Requirements:

• 1–3 years of lien negotiation experience (preferred)

• Personal injury law firm experience (strongly preferred)

• Knowledge of: medical liens, insurance reductions, Medicare/Medi-Cal, ERISA, and settlement disbursements

• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

• Professional phone and email etiquette

• Experience with FileVine is a plus

• Bilingual Spanish is a plus (not required)

• Positive, solution-oriented mindset

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate reductions on:
  • Medical liens
  • Hospital balances
  • Health insurance liens
  • Medicare/Medi-Cal liens
  • ERISA liens
  • Subrogation claims
  • Letters of Protection (LOPs)

• Review settlement breakdowns, medical billing, and outstanding balances

• Verify balances and identify discrepancies or negotiable charges

• Assist with final settlement disbursement preparation

• Ensure cases move efficiently toward final resolution

• Communicate professionally with:
  • Medical providers
  • Insurance companies
  • Clients
  • Attorneys
  • Collection departments

• Work closely with Case Managers, Demand Writers, Attorneys, and Leadership

• Maintain accurate documentation and updates within FileVine and internal systems

• Provide excellent customer service and client communication throughout the process

• Manage a high-volume caseload while maintaining accuracy and organization
